Professor (W3) of Media Informatics (m/f/d)

The successful candidate is highly qualified in one or several fields of Media Informatics (e. g. 3D Object Acquisition, 3D Modeling, Augmented Reality, Computer Graphics, Deep Learning Applications in Media Informatics, Digital Fabrication, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Visualization, Ubiquitous Computing, Virtual Reality, Visual Analytics) and strongly complements the existing teaching and research activities at the Institute of Media Informatics.
The successful candidate will teach Bachelor and Master courses in the Media Informatics, Computer Science, Software Engineering and Cognitive Systems study programs as well as other Computer Science related programs. Teaching languages are German and English. The successful candidate brings strong didactical skills, documented, for example, by excellent teaching evaluations and/or educational training.
A position for an academic assistant (E13 TV-L) is planned for the professorship.
Experience in raising third-party funds and participation in cooperative research projects is assumed. We expect the successful candidate to actively raise third-party funds and to show an adequate involvement in providing academic services.
Employment requirements are completed university studies as well as
teaching aptitude, a doctoral degree and further pertinent scientific achievements (§ 47 LHG).
