For the Institute of Neural Information Processing we are looking for an

PhD student / PostDoc (m/f/d)

At the institute we use a diverse set of methods to study the information processing principles underlying intelligent behavior in cognitive systems, including both biological and artificial systems. In particular, we are interested in systems that learn in open-ended environments and that use abstraction to solve novel problems through generalization and meta-learning.

Your profile:

  • Applicants should have a strong mathematical background
  • Applicants should hold a degree (Master) in natural science, mathematics, economics, psychology, computer science, engineering or similar
  • Applicants should have a keen interest in artificial and natural intelligence

Your responsibilities:

  • Research in the field of Learning Systems
  • Support of teaching activities (4SWS: 4 hrs per week during semester times)
