Within the topic area "Human-Robot Interaction" in the Department of Human Factors at the University of Ulm, the psychological foundations of a subjectively successful interaction with robots are investigated in cooperation with other German universities and industrial partners and transferred into practice in the sense of a human-centered design of robots. Within the framework of the advertised position, psychological processes of trust development in interaction with robots will be investigated. In particular, requirements and implementation possibilities of an acceptable, safe and trustworthy design of human-robots will be derived.

Your profile:

• Completed relevant university degree diploma or M.Sc. in Psychology, Human Factors, Cognitive Science or related subjects
• Knowledge and experience or interest in the field of human-machine interaction, especially human-robot interaction
• Knowledge and experience in inferential statistical data analysis using SPSS, R, or comparable tools
• Optimally, programming skills and first publication experiences
• Optimally, knowledge and experience in conducting experiments, ideally in the context of the topic of human-robot interaction
• Very good English skills

Your responsibilities:

• Planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of empirical studies 
• Support of the project management of different funding projects
  
• Participation in and organization of project meetings
  
• Optimally, the programming of interaction concepts on demonstration robots
• Publication of results in scientific journals and at conferences
• Participation in the preparation of applications for follow-up projects
